Rare Earth Thermomotor: VIDEOS
UNPACKING THE THERMOMOTOR
Always read the accompanying instructions and unpack your Thermomotor very carefully to avoid damage to the delicate rotor. Instructions/usage
THE POWER SOURCE
The fuel source for our Rare-Earth Thermomotor is the humble tealight. The strength of each tealight can vary greatly but the machine’s adjustment mechanism gives control over all but the most extreme examples. Recommended Tea Lights
FORGING THE THERMOMOTOR
The crystal globes are from Hong Kong and the slate for the base is Spanish. Everything else is manufactured and assembled here in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. This includes the smelting of the bespoke magnetic alloy at the heart of the machine.

COUNTDOWN TO MOTION
This shows our rare-earth Thermomotor during the warm-up phase. Full, smooth rotation is usually achieved after about 15 minutes but some tealights can take longer.
SPILT WAX REMOVAL
Wax on the slate base can be left to fully cool and then picked off with the point of a sharp knife. Wax on the mesh of the basket is trickier but watching this video should help.
